Earlier this month the Videopro Education team hit the road to travel throughout Queensland in order to provide free professional development workshops and visit with schools along the way. The trip began in Brisbane and navigated up through Hervey Bay, to Bundaberg, Gladstone, Rockhampton, Mackay, Townsville, before finishing up in Cairns.
Dan, Aaron, Cameron and I were present at various points throughout the journey; however, our Emerging Technology Specialist, Pat Byrne, receives top honours for being present at every leg and minute of the trip, driving the whole way from Brisbane up to Cairns, whilst running eight official training workshops and not missing a beat during this whole time!
All up, Pat and the rest of the team racked up around 4,500km on the road (that’s wider than the width of Australia!) and the team spent two weeks on the road in total. We’ve had a tremendous amount of positive feedback from the schools involved and orders to match, so without doubt we consider this trip to be a fantastic success!
On behalf of the Videopro Education team, we would like to send our warmest thanks to the folks who allowed us to hold our free training sessions in their schools and for those who took time out of the day to visit with us, or allow us to visit with them.
Of course, we couldn’t get out to see everybody and not everyone who had hoped to attend could make it, so we hope to see you again, on future road trips.
Until next time, stay awesome and have a great Christmas!
