Running from 29-31 January 2013, the ISE Conference in Amsterdam was surprisingly large and proved to be one of the world’s best conferences for audio visual professionals and enthusiasts.
From the moment I walked through the door, the technology hit me with literally millions of dollars worth of high end projectors edge blended to create what seemed like a 50m long image.
As I cast my mind back to think of the highlights, I analyse the new and upcoming technology. The piece that comes to mind was astounding and nothing I had seen before. As I walked past a stand, a man stopped me and asked me to look at the advertising in the screen. I quickly realised that the screen was being controlled by my eyes. If I looked at the arrow on the screen it would scroll through the pages. If I focused on a product for long enough it would enter through and provide further detail on that product. If I looked off the screen it would take me back to the home page. Great technology and a glimpse of what is to come in the world of marketing!
Samsung continued to provide outstanding LED panel technology. They were sporting an ultra high definition video wall with a 2Kx4K resolution. They also had transparent LED that went up to 60″. For those who might be unaware of this technology it is a clear/transparent glass panel that often has a product behind it. The glass panel has the ability to provide an image to advertise the product that sits behind. Very cool, and I’m sure we will see this in shop windows very soon.
It was obvious AMX had put a lot of time into creating their stand. One of their major focal points was around a product called Resource Management Suite (RMS). RMS is designed to increase return on your technology investment by creating an environment whereby the technology has increased uptime with an easy to operate experience for the end user and detailed reports for asset management. For more thorough information go to the AMX website, by clicking here.
If you’re interested in attending the ISE conference you haven’t missed the boat, it comes around annually. As I mentioned earlier I think it’s a worthwhile conference for people with an interest in technology, professionally and personally.
